Rarest Gem
I dug deep into my heart and chanced upon an odd gem,
Its dim glow felt like my heartbeat; gentle at a time.
As I stumbled and rushed after the bell’s chime,
It pricked me and started crawling up my body, filling every spot and touching every pore.
Checked into my room and realized I was glowing bright red.
I was infected by what and by who?
I was the one who found the gem but I didn’t want to anymore.
It crept deep into my heart and brought out a glow.
I was possessed, by what?
No exorcist found an answer,
Every day it spread deeper and left me with soft moans,
I was transforming, but into what I didn’t know,
There were changes to everything I did,
My darkness now had light when I touched it.
Everywhere I went I was alienated,
“the bright light” everyone said in whispers.
I felt like “OH” when he heard music for the first time. (OH is a cartoon character from Home)
I was an odd gem,
It made me come alive and shone than ever,
It made me look up to every day and enjoy people.
“it is called love” the old wind brushed my skin and whispered.
