Old love, came around
The big bell tolled; time for recess.
Always eager to go to break,
My young self never understood love,
Never was I taught what it was or how to handle it,
So I was a stray,
Stray as a cat but naive as man,
The wind swept past me; this isn’t a movie
Cut the crap!
I walked to the canteen,
Then I saw him, he was older than I was; my senior in both age and class.
But it never stopped my young brain either,
It only stopped functioning around him
Quiet and collected,
Innocent and funny.
So little and the blush will creep up my cheeks,
You are black, there’s no blush creeping anywhere!
I was probably in love but thought he was out of my league
And this religious madness could get us tangled,
I had no plans to let Disneyland play a role!
Years passed new crushes and old forgotten.
You see the sun never dies it only sleeps,
But then when I saw him in my senior year that’s when I knew the sun never dies.
Still the same, Oh my Zack!
But then never will I confess my feelings, I can just let it all go.
Love dies,
I’ll get new dick and he never looked my way,
Why stress about love?
But fate thought otherwise,
Like a game, these gods were playing with us
Our paths crossed even after school,
Then it started,
Like a seed planted no matter how little we watered it, somehow it still decided to grow,
A kiss, some love here and there
Our lives got stuck in each other’s Worlds
No matter how far we went,
Aphrodite will lash us back with memories,
Finding ourselves, lighting these candles
All of it
And we don’t care about the religious madness,
We are blessed,
And we might not be power couples,
We don’t have to prove anything to y’all anyway
But we are as powerful as love gets us to be,
When Aphrodite is around, Hercules visits,
The uniqueness of two souls bind,
No matter how far y’all stretch the ropes it will never tear apart!
Till we all see that, this is us and it is sealed the better.
Because everyone has a soulmate even if we doubt we were made for love.
So then claim it, work it
Love you and find the one who understands all the madness you are,
Who loves all of that madness and even your tattered clothes look like priced garments to that person
In their eyes, you are all that matters even if it comes with pain
Don’t underrate love, it is powerful than how little the World has made it
