Yes, we are dying inside,
Our phone is the mask we sit behind,
Behind every phone, there’s a broken soul,
Wishing to be heard, wishing that someone will just care genuinely.
Wishing someone will reach into their abyss of depression and pull them out.
But everyone has their problems to solve;
Humanity doesn’t seem like one of it
But humanity is the important one.
To everyone we are tough, to everyone we are fine..
That beautiful smile can never know creases
That heart’s beat never decreases!
To them you are perfect,
To them, you have everything because that’s what you show!
No one can reach you if you are always unavailable,
No one can help you till you yell “Help”
Let’s be honest, we are dying,
We want to talk to somebody but we are always scared
The what-ifs leave us deeper into this loneliness
The loneliness begets depression
For once that shell can’t save you
Crawl out of it butt naked and let the world talk
Who cares?!
You know what it feels like to be dead while alive,
You know how it feels to survive
To be called a survivor of everything that breaks me.
To be able to come out of every situation with a scar,
With a chunk of you off,
But then you shouldn’t be despaired
Glory days will come to you,
Let the pain engulf you and cry it out if you must
But do not bottle it in, it will break you.
I know we sit behind our phones using it as veil to hide us,
To hide all the scars
The pain and the sadness we feel,
The dark circles that we keep drawing with No Sleep and too much thinking.
Just cry it out.
“Dearest dear come, have my skinny shoulder to cry on.
I don’t have breasts for pillows but I will listen to you.
Pour your heart out, you aren’t emotional,
Your aren’t weak, being open about your pain is strength.
Be strong my dear,
More tides will roll but I will help you prepare for it”
