My Fortune Teller
Across the street, as I walked, my eye caught an antique shop,
Its decoration smelt of something old and love,
Like a magnet, I was being drawn to it,
“ring the bell and walk in”, that was little tinker bell.
“the energy drew you huh?” that raspy voice, probably this was the gingerbread house,
The witch was going to eat me maybe but I remembered I was no Gretel and nothing close to Hansel.
” have a seat my child today is the day of the stars, you could get lucky”
I could get lucky but I wasn’t number seven.
“look into the glass, what do you see? “
Dressed in rich garments, that was I,
Looking at me eye to eye,
Flipping old gold coins and I shone like a star as people walked.
I had made it, I was wealthy but how did I get there?
My old tattered dresses betrayed me and I almost laughed,
” come closer bring your palm”
I sat and made her read my palm, those fine lines turned to rail tracks before my sight,
No aeroplanes so there was no flight.
Beautiful train, tsu tsu the train moved,
As glamorous I was, seated by a fine gentleman,
My wedding band glittered when touched by the sun.
I shone and blinded a few.
“Your future looks impressive my lady, but it has obstacles and the only thing to counter it is hard work”
I was impressed and my frown turned into a smile so big the Sun had to hide.
Tap tap Out of Wonderland I just visited
“Do you want to buy some antiques or you are just admiring them from outside that window?”
I actually was and saw more.
